Tinder has launched its first pan-Asian campaign, “Dating, Your Way,” celebrating Gen Z’s evolving approach to dating. The campaign focuses on women who prioritize self-expression, exploration, and fun, shifting away from traditional dating norms to embrace relationships on their own terms. It underscores the idea that dating is an adventure rather than a fixed journey, encouraging individuals to explore meaningful connections in their unique ways.
The campaign, created by Wieden + Kennedy, is inspired by real Gen Z dating experiences and features three core videos with different taglines across countries. One of the videos, “Move On,” tells the story of a young woman letting go of a past relationship, symbolized by a pet turtle from her ex, and embracing new beginnings with Tinder’s help. The campaign aims to capture the essence of dating as a process of self-discovery and new possibilities.

“Double the Chill” showcases the charm of unexpected connections, following a couple on a first date bonding over their shared habit of sipping cold drinks on a chilly day, emphasizing how unique quirks can bring people together naturally.
“Love and Hate” explores how differences in relationships can be playful and strengthening, featuring a Tinder couple debating over olives, similar to the classic pineapple-on-pizza argument, highlighting how opposites can attract.

With this campaign, we’re celebrating the freedom to date without judgment—because whether you’re on Tinder to move on, move forward, or just move at your own pace, there’s no set way to date and every match has the potential to change lives in ways that people could never imagine.”
Tinder’s campaign draws from a survey revealing that women in Asia are redefining dating norms, with 82% using dating apps and 72% having meaningful relationships through them. Women are prioritizing meaningful connections, with 87% seeking equal partnerships, and many embracing cross-cultural, long-distance, and international dating.
