In a recent survey by leading job portal Indeed, over 63% of the interviewed Indian employees affirmed they covet recognition and validation from leadership. It definitely boosts employee morale and thereby productivity. Per the report, 62% of employees stated they felt happier when their work was appreciated by their team. The survey was conducted among 3005 professionals across the nation, with 30% of respondents being C-Suite executives and the rest being employees.

A Gallup Workplace Report in June stated that nearly 90% of desi employees admitted to being suffering, while 40% of the surveyed confessed that they were sad. No wonder the Murthys and the Aggarwals foster such a toxic work culture that not even the death of an EY India fresher recently had softened these jingoist capitalist’s ethos.
