In both Lunar games, one of the more infamous collectibles are the bromides—a picture that can only be obtained by talking to specific characters at just the right time. They’re easy to miss, and while the games themselves are fairly straightforward, missing even one bromide can force a replay if you’re aiming for the platinum trophy or full achievement completion. In Eternal Blue, collecting the bromides is much easier compared to the first game. The steps required are far less obtuse, and there’s a much larger window of opportunity for when you can acquire them; even so, they should be acquired immediately. There are a total of 7 bromides you can collect during the main story, and an additional 15 bromides found throughout the epilogue, bringing the total to 22 bromides. Bromides found in the epilogue don’t require super-specific timing or obscure requirements.

Please note that there will be minor spoilers, as many of these collectibles are tied to specific story beats or events. This guide can also be used for the original PlayStation version of Eternal Blue, as the instructions and event triggers are the same. Unlike Silver Star Story.

Instructions: After resting up at Ronfar’s Place, talk to the man above the Althena Statue.
Jean’s Bromide 2 – (2/22)
Instructions: After defeating Plantella, talk to the rest of the caravan members until the vines are removed from the exit. Once the path is clear, speak to the girl who was previously guarding the exit — she will give you the bromide.
Lemina’s Bromide 3 – (3/22)
Instructions: In Meribia, head to Ramus’ Store and talk to Ramus’ Grandpa. Keep speaking to him repeatedly — on the fourth time, he will finally hand over a bromide.

Instructions: In Meribia, head to Ramus’ Store and examine the barrel in the upper left corner.

Instructions: In the Mystic Ruins, go to the location where the memory projection occurred. There is a treasure right there that contains the bromide.

Instructions: In Taben’s Peak, check one of the cell rooms— there’s a chest inside that contains the bromide.

Instructions: In Takkar, talk to the old guy guarding the northern gate.

Instructions: Found in the Lionhead Dungeon. Located in a chest that is near the boss room on the roof.
