LinkedIn announced a new AI-powered job search tool aimed at helping professionals overcome common challenges in finding suitable roles. According to a company survey, 60% of professionals in Bengaluru struggle to identify the right job titles or industries, even when they’re open to new opportunities.

The survey also revealed that one of the top indicators of career progress is finding a role that aligns with one’s skills and ambitions. To address this, LinkedIn developed the AI tool to simplify the job search process and help users discover roles that truly fit their goals.
LinkedIn’s new AI-powered job search feature allows users to find roles using natural, conversational language instead of traditional keyword searches. For example, someone could type, “full-stack software developer jobs in Bengaluru that are hybrid or remote work,” and receive results that accurately match those criteria, making the search process more intuitive and efficient.

The company says this AI-driven experience addresses the common issue of irrelevant job results caused by limited keyword-based searches. It also reduces the need for manual filtering and browsing through multiple pages to find suitable openings. LinkedIn emphasizes that the feature aims to make job discovery more personalized and confidence-boosting for users.
Currently, the tool is exclusive to LinkedIn Premium subscribers, who pay Rs. 499 per month. Along with the new AI job search, the Premium plan includes other career-focused features like AI-powered interview preparation and tools to plan personalized career journeys.
