Just last month, Microsoft also improved the overall file-sharing experience by allowing seamless communication between the Phone Link app on Windows and the Link to Windows app on iOS. For iPhone users to enjoy this new Start menu integration, certain requirements must be met. The Windows PC must support Bluetooth LE, which allows for easy and reliable connection to the iPhone. Additionally, users must be running a Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 4805 or higher, as well as the latest version of the Phone Link app. The Link to Windows app must also be installed on the iPhone for successful synchronization. Once these requirements are in place, users can follow a simple setup process to link their devices.
Setting up this new feature is easy. First, ensure that the necessary apps, Phone Link on Windows and Link to Windows on iOS, are installed and up-to-date. Then, click the Start button on the Windows 11 PC, and find the device connection option in the right pane. From there, users can select “iPhone” and follow on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
