Greedfall II: The Dying World enters Steam Early Access on September 24

Developer Spiders and publisher Nacon have announced that GreedFall II: The Dying World  is releasing for PC via Steam Early Access on September 24. People can play the main quest’s first chapters and explore through several regions, such as Teer Fradee, Thynia, and Uxantis. Throughout the early access period, GreedFall II will continually be updated with new companions, quests, zones, skills, improvements, and such.

Last month, Adam got a chance to see the upcoming sequel at Summer Games Fest and was fascinated at how the development team looked to Dragon Age: Origins to alter the gameplay design of the title. GreedFall II utilizes a real-time with pause approach, so those with a fondness of older computer RPGs may feel more at home with GreedFall II.

Nacon also released an Early Access roadmap a few months ago that reflects the details of what’s included in the Early Access build at launch and what will be coming after it.

The full release of GreedFall II: The Dying World is still on track for a 2025 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

NACON and Spiders studio are pleased to announce the early access release date of the narrative RPG GreedFall II: The Dying World with a new trailer. The title offers an all-new adventure in the world of GreedFall, which has already drawn in a player community over 2 million strong, and will be released under early access on Steam on 24 September 2024. 

Players will then be able to discover the first chapters of the main quest, explore the regions of Teer Fradee, Thynia and Uxantis, and also get to know some of the characters that will accompany them in the course of their adventure. Of course, the game content will be enriched throughout the early access phase, with plenty of new features and improvements: zones, companions, quests, skills and many more!

GreedFall II: The Dying World is a narrative RPG which starts three years before the events of the first game. This time, you play as a native of Teer Fradee, uprooted by force from your island and taken to the continent of Gacane, the homeland of the colonists. In this old world in a constant state of conflict, and ravaged by the Malichor plague and the political scheming of various factions, you must regain your freedom and forge your own destiny. Tackle each challenge you face through diplomacy, cunning or your combat skills, and alongside your new-found allies, put a stop to one man’s ambitions of conquest, which could spell the end for the continent and your island.
