Google has officially launched Ananta, its newest and one of its largest global campuses, located in Bengaluru’s Mahadevapura. This opening further strengthens the company’s longstanding presence in India. Ananta is designed to accommodate teams working across a range of Google services. With the addition of this expansive office space, Google now has over 10,000 employees across multiple locations in India, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Mumbai, and Pune.

India has long been a key market for Google, with the company making significant investments to enhance internet accessibility and digital services. The newly inaugurated Ananta campus, named after the Sanskrit word for “limitless,” covers 1.6 million square feet and can house over 5,000 employees. Teams working on core services such as Android, Search, Pay, Cloud, Maps, Play, and DeepMind, among others, will now operate from this expansive new facility.

Google designed Ananta to foster collaboration while also providing quiet areas for focused work. The layout resembles a city grid, with clear pathways for easy navigation. It includes neighborhood-style workspaces, private booths, and a central gathering space called Sabha, meant for discussions and events. The building’s sculpted design enhances both its visual appeal and its access to natural light and outdoor views.
Ananta, Google’s new campus in Bengaluru, prioritizes accessibility with tactile flooring for the visually impaired and inclusive facilities. The campus offers walking and jogging paths for outdoor relaxation and informal meetings, blending nature into the workspace with extensive landscaping inspired by Bengaluru’s Garden City reputation. This integration of nature creates a serene and productive environment for employees.
Sustainability is a key theme, with the campus recycling 100% of its wastewater and implementing rainwater harvesting systems. It also features one of India’s largest smart glass installations to reduce energy consumption, along with locally sourced materials for the interiors. Google aims to use Ananta as a hub to foster AI adoption across core sectors like agriculture, health, and fintech while working with India’s research and startup ecosystem to drive impactful innovations.
