Samsung is getting ready for its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event next month, where it’s expected to showcase a host of exciting new products. While the official date hasn’t been confirmed yet, rumors from insiders suggest that January 22, 2025, could be the big day. For Samsung enthusiasts, this event will be a significant moment, as the company plans to reveal four new smartphones: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the much-talked-about Galaxy S25 Slim.
The Galaxy S25 Slim, in particular, has been creating quite a buzz. Although it might be revealed during the Galaxy Unpacked event, it’s likely that the phone won’t actually hit the shelves until later in 2025. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how this sleek, minimalist device will stand out, especially given rumors of its cutting-edge features and design.

Alongside these smartphones, Samsung is also expected to introduce the next-generation Galaxy Ring. This wearable is expected to focus on advanced health tracking, and could play a significant role in Samsung’s growing lineup of wearable tech.
In the lead-up to the official announcement, several leaks have given us a sneak peek of what’s to come. One of the most intriguing leaks involves a new color for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. A well-known Samsung leaker, @iceuniverse, shared an image of a color described as a blue with a hint of grey. While the post only shows a grey swatch, the caption clearly reads “S25 Ultra. Blue.” This has sparked a lot of interest, as previous leaks have hinted that the S25 Ultra could come in a variety of shades, ranging from deep blue to space grey. Whether this new blue color will be available across the S25 lineup is still uncertain.
But the S25 Ultra isn’t just about looks. Leaked specifications suggest that the Ultra model will come with a hefty 16GB of RAM, but only in the higher storage versions—512GB and 1TB. The base model, which offers 256GB of storage, will feature 12GB of RAM. This difference in RAM configurations sets the S25 Ultra apart as the premium choice within the new Galaxy lineup.

As for when the Galaxy S25 series will be available, pre-orders in South Korea are expected to open between January 24 and February 3, 2025, with deliveries and in-store sales slated to begin on February 7. In other markets, including the US, pre-orders will likely follow a similar timeline, starting around January 22 or 23. This is similar to how Samsung handled the Galaxy S24 launch, which took place in January 2024, with pre-orders starting immediately and the phone available by the end of the month.
All in all, the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event is shaping up to be an exciting one. With fresh color options, powerful new specifications, and the introduction of new devices like the Galaxy Ring, the Galaxy S25 series is sure to be one of the most eagerly awaited tech releases of 2025. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see what Samsung has in store.
